I am honored to return as Matilda Sager Delaney (Whitman Massacre survivor), also as educator and journalist Nellie Gilliam Day in an ensemble piece in July. September 15 is the debut of (my new) historic personage, Sister Catherine of the Sisters of Providence, Superior of Saint Vincent’s Academy in Walla Walla 1869-1878. I’m currently researching her life and the history of St. Vincent’s with assistance from local academics and the Sisters of Providence Seattle archivists, and am very excited about bringing this history to the program! There are other new presentations on this year’s schedule, in addition to the return of many past favorites.
