What IS the deal with Monique’s pregnancy? What is Hera’s secret fear regarding David’s quest? And party boy Pan- -a HERO?
Week Seventeen:
October 24th through 30th, 2025
In Seattle, Friday, October 24, Candy has returned from leading “Deep Marriage” seminars up and down the west coast. Reunited with toddler son Titus, husband Jim, and their visiting friends Cleo and David, she shares the latest gossip from her boss, Hera. Everyone is stunned to hear epic enemies Hera and Aphrodite are in a Zumba class- -together! Also, Monique Reynard is pregnant! David turns suddenly pale, claiming a sick stomach. Cleo turns suddenly cold toward David. And after an otherwise perfect-for-Candy homecoming evening, Jim is suddenly summoned to Mount Olympus by Apollo for an emergency consultation!
Meanwhile, in Mount Olympus, Aphrodite and Hera adjourn to a post-Zumba hour of antipasto and wine (one glass only!) at Club Dionysus. Aphrodite shares her frustration about Monique’s pregnancy. Though Monique has told her there’s something unusual about the baby, and that a consultant has been called in, she has no idea what’s going on- -not even the identity of the father! Hera can sympathize- -kids can be stubborn! Speaking of kids, Aphrodite asks Hera if she’s heard anything from David regarding his mortal-world quest to learn about his father. She hasn’t heard a thing and shrugs it off, but Aphrodite senses Hera’s deeply worried about- -something to do with the quest. . .
Thursday, October 30, Pan returns to Mount Olympus after completing his one-god campaign to defeat brutal warlords stealing humanitarian aid in a Mortal Desert. Tired, unbelievably filthy, and poor in spirits after incessant face-offs with humans of incredible violence and greed, all he wants to do is debrief with top brass Athena and Ares and unwind with a long, hot shower. When he arrives on the ninth floor- -Department of Armed Forces and Diplomacy- -at Olympus, Inc., headquarters, he is instead greeted with a brass band, a vast, cheering crowd and a hero’s welcome! Zeus invests him with the Olympian Cross. A key to the city is presented by CEO Veronica Zeta. Overwhelmed, a single tear rolls down Pan’s cheek. He cloaks himself with invisibility, escapes the sea of admirers, and adjourns to the city’s best bath house.
Is paternity on David’s horizon? Will Aphrodite and Hera ever get the straight scoop from their kids? Will Pan leave a hero-sized bathtub ring?
